Octopus
2:52 PMIt is bestowed with a sense of duty, responsibility. Qualities that I lack. When life gets hard, avoid. Avoid pain at all cost. Avoid conflicts. Do not express yourself. The inner world is rich, but locked from the outside. A treasure forever lost. Does anyone dare to venture in the forbidden? What is unknown best stays unknown. A dog is best leashed. Do not unleash what you don't want to roam free.
A return to the darkness, to the primitive void. A place without lights, where the sky is starless, and eyes cannot see. "Where am I?", I pondered. Then, a surge of cosmic power bursts forth. An explosion. Burning sensation. The old engulfed in the abrasive light. Need to readjust and refocus. The first time seeing. An uncomfortable and uncontrollable reality. A moment of truth. A moment of rediscovery. The need to celebrate because life was born again. It was attached with a purpose, a raison-d'être. Do not fear, they said, for it is meant to be, destined to be. Now stretch that octopus.
