If you like life then put a smile on it

Reading Shinae's blog just now made me realize AGAIN, how easy it is to take life for granted.

Surely, life is more than just working errday, getting paid in order to pay off bills in return.

Here is a nice little song to accompany your reading:

I find it a lot easier to write while listening to songs. Music helps channel my feelings. Music therapy for ya.

Finished reading the book Divergent. Kinda horrible actually, and by horrible I mean it is pretty badly written. (The movie was also pretty distasteful.) My new found literary taste is quite shocking to me actually. Never thought I'd be able to criticize content in a million years, considering I never used to read much. Guess I am maturing in a way. Not judging a book by its cover shows kalacta (how Jim would pronounce "character").

Played a sax tune yesterday at a send-off partay for this power couple that I adore. Received a lot of positive feedback from em peeps, feels good. I mean I did put in a lot of efforts this past week to practice. I really believe in the power of sax now. If saxophonists were a clan in the show "Avatar: The Last Airbender", they would be the emobender. Creating, bending and channeling feelings. You know, I should really watch that show. I have both Avatar and Legend of Korra on my external hard drive + 621 movies that I've downloaded these past months.

Here is the list if you want to borrow any of them.

I never got down to watch any of them really. Dunno why. But I can now relate with em folks who prefer collecting toys than playing with em.

Right. I was talking about life and it being precious. Had some inspiring things to say, but don't remember no mo. It's okay, I am letting it go, murdering my darlings, a term used by Veronica Roth, author of Divergent, in the writing tips section of the book. She argues that sometimes you just gotta scrap the things you love the most about your story and re-do them again while trusting that a better outcome will turn out. Guess she didn't scrap enough off her book. (Oh I kid.) Now imagine trying to apply this concept in real life. I personally hold onto many darlings these days. Have you met my lovely resentment and pride? I want to kill them. #killbill3

Jim just called me. I have to go pay a visit to his jim-hole. He just finished finals, so thought it'd be nice to bring him some food. Anyway, bounce tyme. Thanks for tuning in. Will make some editing later.
