Cinderella
4:40 PMBy those who occupy a cherished place in our heart.
A: "Why are they always so preoccupied with me? Why can't they just leave me alone? Why the nag?"
B: "If only they understood just how much I care and where I am coming from. If only they can show me some concerns too. If only..."
That feeling.
Of being misunderstood.
Being the recipient of the cold shoulder or excessive anger.
And the reality check.
That your significant other may never understand how much they mean to you or what exactly you are sacrificing for them.
And perhaps they might never love you the way you want to be loved. Never have your best intentions in mind. Never even consider how you really felt, deep down.
At the end of the day.
You are left alone, unsolicited.
No longer wanting to bother with the handful of rain checks left in the mail slot.
It is unfair.
Indeed a frustrating situation.
Dealing with an unreasonable person.
Stuck in a difficult relationship.
It is okay though.
Okay to be upset by that person's humanity, their current life stage.
Okay to be hurt, sad.
Okay to tell someone about it.
But it's nobody's fault really. Certainly not yours. It is a situation you can't change after all. A person you have no control over. So no need to point fingers. You are now too old for that.
In fact, we are all humans.
All falling flat in one way or another.
Each bearing our own unspeakable stories.
Each with loads of excrement, unshod.
And hurts from the past, still unresolved.
Despite all, we can certainly still hope.
For a better tomorrow.
For the sorrows of today to be transformed into joy.
For the pain to finally be numbed.
& the person we love, changed.
Courage.
For you are growing.
Thus the pain.
And you are loving.
Thus the suffering.
Nevertheless, forget not.
You are here for a reason.
For someone surely thought of you
To have created you just the way you are.
Though you were born out of ashes,
You can be reborn again.
And it will be magical. Inspiritual.
